What is written about Francis

Carried across from the family tree, with its markup stripped. Family testimony, not an independent record — valuable, and labelled.

This note reached the archive damaged. The export it came from stores rich text, and the transfer truncated it — opening tags cut off mid-attribute, and words missing from the middle of sentences. What follows has had the wreckage stripped, but sentences will still break off. That is the source, not the transcription, and nothing has been invented to bridge the gaps.
